Shelby Cordeiro serves as a clinical social worker for Elysian Psychological Services. She completed her masters degree in Social Work at Temple University, and completed her clinicals in an Intermediate Unit in Pennsylvania. She has experience providing services to children, teens, adults, and families.
Shelby’s work and experience include a wide variety of diagnoses and life experiences including; depression, anxiety, ADHD, ODD, PTSD, ASD, Emotional Regulation, Self-Esteem, Domestic Violence, absent parents, sexual assault, social justice-related trauma, and various gender and sexual identities. Shelby views therapy as a teamwork approach, working with the client to help them find healing and create a life they enjoy. Clients often describe sessions with Shelby as accepting, validating, and educational. She wants to help you explore your emotions, gain insights, and develop realistic coping skills. She has experience with multiple evidence based therapeutic approaches and likes to work with clients to find the best approach for them. Shelby’s goal is for clients to feel comfortable and excited to participate in the therapeutic process. She is a creative therapist with laid back sessions that often involve laughter and a safe space to experience any emotions you are carrying.
